Sultan-ul-Faqr Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Haq Baoo Sarwari Qadri was born on Thursday 1st of Jamad-us-Sani in 1939 A.H at Taulka Shorkot district Jhang Punjab. He was soofi mystic saint (Wali- Ullah) by birth. Sultan-ul-Arifeen was the descendant of Hazrat Ali R. A. His father Hazrat Bazyed Mohammad belonged to AWAN tribe; by profession he was soldier in the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahans’ army. His mother Bibi Rasti was respectable woman in AWAN family. She was spiritual and saintly woman. Bibi Rasti gave him a name BAHU (always remained with HOO). Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Haq Bahoo got early spiritual education from his mother and his spiritual guidance started from his early childhood. He married four times. His first wife belonged to hazarat Makhdoom Burhan Langer family, second from AWAN tribe, third from close relatives and fourth from Hindu family. She got married after accepted Islam. Allah blessed him with eight sons Sultan Noor Mohammad, Sultan Wali Mohammad, Sultan Mohammad Latif, Sultan Saleh Mohammad, Sultan Mohammad Ishaq, Sultan Fateh Mohammad, Sultan Mohammad Sharif, Sultan Mohammad Hayat and one daughter Mai Rehmat Khatoon. His elder sons Sultan Noor Mohammad and Sultan Wali Mohammad blessed with children and last six sons remained childless.

MURSHID KI TALAASH

Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo did not receive formal education from any teacher; his first teacher was his mother. To uplift the spirituality, Hazrat Bibi Rasti guided her son Sultan-ul-Faqr Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo to search “MURSHID KAMIL” for proper education and spiritual guidance. He obeyed the orders of his mother and started his journey from Shorkot. Hazrat Sultan Bahoo went to Wali-e-Kamil Shah Habib Qadri near Ravi River. Hazrat Sultan Bahoo stayed few days with him. Hazrat Shah Habib assigned his duties to arrange water for mosque. It was very difficult task for a single person to arrange such water for a mosque. Hazrat Sultan Bahoo went to well and filled only one bag of water “Mashkiza”. He was on the highest level of Faqr, so arrangeed all needs with only one bag of water “Mashkiza”. Shah Habib knew his spiritual standing and guided him to go to Syed Pir Abdul Rehman Dehlvi for further spiritual guidance. Pir Abdul Rehman Dehlvi welcomed warmly Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo in his “KHANKAH” and uplifted his spiritual level. Hazrat Sultan Bahoo took “Baiyat” from Pir Abdul Rehman Dehlvi and returned back to Shorkot. In his book “Ameer-ul-Quonain” he said that he searched “MURSHID” for guidance about thirty years. One day Hazrat Ali Bin Abu Talib came and took him to Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) where the four Caliphs, family of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) and Hazrat Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani were also present. Sultan Bahoo took “Baiyat” at the sacred hand of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) who entrusted him to Hazrat Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani for further spiritual guidance. Hazrat Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani enriched Sultan-ul-Faqr hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo with spiritual wealth. That is why Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo refered Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani as his Murshid in his books.

TASANEEF-E-BAHOO

Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo was the author of about one hundred forty four (144) books. All the published books are written in Persian excluding one book “ABAYAT BAHOO” which is written in siraiki/Punjabi language. Abayat Bahoo is famous amongst all other books. Many researchers and followers translated such books into URDU and English. The style of writing is very simple and easily understandable. If any follower “Mureed” read such book with faith and true heart, he would be guided property towards the real spiritual guide “Murshid”. KARAMAT-e-BAHOO

Hazrat Sultan Bahoo was a great saint, his illuminated face and spiritual power attracted people in his early childhood. There were many karamat-e-bahoo narrated by the devotees of Sakhi Sultan Bahoo from all over Pakistan. Few most famous Karamat-e-Bahoo are mentioned below:

Non-Muslims Converted to Islam:

It was very famous amongst the followers of Sakhi Sultan Bahoo. Non-muslims recited “Kalama Shahadat” immediately when they looked to the illuminated face of Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo. This “Karamat-e-Bahoo” is one of them which continued throughout his life.

Turning Stone into Gold:

A man from a “SAYYED” family was very poor; he needed financial help to support his large family. Due to his limited income, he was not in a position to manage the marriage of his daughter and it was also very difficult for him to fulfill all the needs of his family. A man “Sayyed” was decided without the prayers of “Wali-ullah” his problems was not solved and financial position was not changed. One day he went to Sakhi Sultan Bahoo for prayers. He was disappointed to see Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo as a simple farmer ploughing the farm. He was about to returned; Hazarat Sultan Bahoo called him and said, “O Sayyed! Tell me the problem”. Sayyed told him all his problems. Sultan-ul-Fakr Sultan Bahoo requested him to hold his plough while he passed the urine. After passing the urine Hazrat Sultan Bahoo threw the stone on the field; the stone turned into the gold. Burhan-ul-Wasleen hazrat sakhi Sultan Bahoo told the Sayyed “to take the gold to solve your problems”.

Moving of a Tree:

In front of the “MAHAL PAK” there was a Beery tree (Bair) in the middle of the path. The visitors and devotees faced problems due to its hindrances; it also covered the shrine of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo. One day one blind man was badly injured when he came to shrine and his head struck with the Beery tree. It was mutually decided by the spiritual successors of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo to cut the Beery tree. That night Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo came into the deams of Khalefa Fakeer Mohammad Sidique and said “Why are you cutting my beery tree, it will go far from here itself”. The next morning, the beery tree was moved itself and it stood at the back of the shrine. Due to this Karamat the beery three became famous as “Hazoori Bair”.
